An 8th grade student enrolled in school at GBMS can balance sports, school work, clubs, his life, and he still has time for fun. This student is William Kemp. Will has three siblings named Grant, Jack, and Sarah, and his loving parents are Amy and Chris Kemp. Born in Pensacola, Will has been in the area for his whole life which has been 14 years. By his side some of Will’s best friends are Evan Zalar, Caden Gutshall, and Leyton Krohn.

Caden Gutshall “He’s a star player, and a really good friend.”

Sports are a major part in Will’s life. He plays Soccer and Lacrosse. Being 5’10” has provided him with many different positions in the sports he plays due to his height. Some of his best friends are his teammates as well. Caden Gutshall, and Evan Zalar have been playing and hanging out together for a while now.

Other things Will likes to do are fishing, diving, skateboarding, and disc golf. Fishing is a common sport in the state of Florida. Will has been fishing in the Gulf, the bay, and some streams. The biggest fish he has ever caught was a 30lb bull redfish.

Another hobby Will likes to have fun with is skateboarding. Although he has never had any major injuries in sports, he has played in, Will has broken his arm twice, once on a bike in which he had to get surgery for and once on a skateboard.

Many kids in the U.S have traveled out of the state and even out of the country. Will has flown on a plane to many states in the U.S but also Mexico as well. Traveling can bring you to many different places in which you can explore, play, and have fun. The coolest place that Will has traveled to is Bigfork, Montana. Bigfork is a small community 2900 ft. in the mountains. During the winter, it is fun to go up there due to all the snow that will lead to skiing, snowboarding, and making snowmen.

Balancing all this traveling, sports having fun, family, and school is tough but Will balances all of this and clubs that take place after school. The clubs are NJHS, and FCA which Will be a leader of. NJHS is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. FCA is an international non-profit Christian sports ministry based in Kansas City, Missouri.

Balancing everything from having fun to school to sports to extracurricular activities is what makes Will Kemp and outstanding GBMS student.
