Caitlin Yamasta does Jiu Jitsu and is sponsored by School Yard Society and Acceleration Fitness gym. She has also  won so many championships and trophies, she has even gone to Brazil where she destroyed against the Brazil nation people. Caitlin started when she was seven and has been improving ever since. Caitlin loves the sound of throwing her opponents onto the mat, loves the sound of the announcer saying her name when she wins the match. She has been to places like California and Florida.

One of her fellow fighters named Coby Sheilds, 7th grade, said, “She is really good and has won the biggest tournament three times in a row.” The big tournament was called Pan Kids. He also said, “She’s a good teammate and a great friend.” She trains daily to prefect her craft. She trains hard with her teachers to get ready for her next big tournament.

When off the mats Caitlin is a good- hearted and welcoming person. She loves to do good things for others. Ava Nicolas, 7th said, “She is really happy all the time, always very positive, and send also s off good vibes.”

Karlee Doughty, 7th grade said, “She is a good friend because she is trustworthy, always joyful, and is just always there for me.”

Caitlin’s parents says, “ The biggest sacrifice she makes is maintaining a certain weight to fight so no junk food. Or traveling out of state leaving her home and friends behind for a while.”

Caitlin’s coach also says, “ First, she has a lot of talent that God gave her. Second, she loves the sport and takes it really seriously. Third, her and her family dedicate their lives for her to train. Fourth, she’s really smart, Jiu-Jitsu is not for stupid people.”
